Cumberland Island Boat Tour

 

Discover the luring history of Amelia and Cumberland Islands on this narrated history and wildlife sightseeing tour.  This 2 1/2-hour tour flies by as we travel further north into Georgia than any of our other tours. On this ride, you have the most opportunity to see the wildlife, and the longest amount of time to hear about the area’s fascinating history. Come experience the thrill of searching for playful dolphins, turkeys, alligators, sea turtles, manatees, pelicans, the American bald eagle, and more as you cruise along the picturesque shorelines. Admire the fascinating Fernandina shrimp boats, historic Old Town, and iconic landmarks. Once a playground for the super-rich and famous, as you approach Cumberland Island you will be looking for their wild horses while hearing the legendary tales of the Rockefeller, Carnegie, and Kennedy families’ history. Tour will include drinks.  This tour is limited to 45 total people.


Amelia Island Historic Tour


 

Amelia Island is full of rich, deep history.  You will be taken on an incredible journey from the time the Timucua Indians inhabited this area in to the modern day shrimping industry.  Get to know when each of the eight flags dominated the island, and discover some very interesting characters that paved the way.  You'll be driven around in comfort to all the most historic areas of the island so that you can see where all this exciting history took place.  There will be a 30 minute narrative bus tour, then a walking tour for 45 minutes then you will have the opportunity to enjoy shopping downtown and a tasting experience at the Amelia Tavern.  Bus will leave the Omni at 1:00pm and return at 4:30pm.  This tour is limited to 43 total people.

 

Beach Set-Ups

For those that want to have a chill afternoon beachside, we will have beach chairs and umbrellas available in a designated area along with drinks provided.  Enjoy the beauty of the Atlantic Ocean on what we hope will be a perfect afternoon!
